There is special term for such people they are recognized as angle shooters. By doing this they think they will achieve what they want from the game. But it’s strictly violation of rules and not at all appropriate.

There is one technique when an angle shooter just acts to hide his actual plan as what he is going do. By doing this he try to confuse the other players. For instance if there are say four players are playing and there and the shooter has his turn after the other three players, he analyze the entire situation and with the idea given by the dealer he acts accordingly.

Suppose a player who has to play after the shooter is keyed up at that moment shooter will put down a one or two out of bunch of chips and withdraws from betting on the contrary if he is looking alarmed then shooter will opt for comparatively big bet .

One more way is be alert when he is there on the table and not to perform any such thing which will help him to trap you. At the time when you are going to play after him try to get the senses of his action and then play according to that.
